Thank you for visiting my homepage. This website reflects my varied interests.
I worked professionally in film and television for many years, principally with the BBC in London and Bristol, mostly in special make-up effects, sculpting many original effects for ‘Casualty’ – a ground-breaking show in the 80s and 90s! The show won the BAFTA award for best make-up in 1992, and Best Design Team award from the Royal Television Society in 1993.
Now I am returning to filmmaking as an independent specialising in stop-motion, which combines my love of sculpture and storytelling. I am working on a new project of my own, “The Legend of Jan Tregeagle”, as well as on various films for others. For more information click here.
The theatre has always been a passion of mine, and there is more information about the plays I have written and directed here.
I built the boat in the pictures, so if you want to find out some more about the construction of my 10m catamaran, there are lots of articles first published in ‘Multihull Review’ with a load of pictures here.
I am a committed environmentalist, and have been giving talks on aspects of the subject. These can be accessed here.
